The President of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo has really been doing well when it comes to updating the Nation on covid19. Today happens to be the 17th Nation’s by the President. However, people are thinking this update is insignificant and unimportant since the major things needed to hear have been done already in the last update by the President. President Akuffo in his speech has adviced Ghanaians to keep on eating and patronising the healthy Ghanaian food to remain healthy and boost immune system. Under that, the President also have discussed the drop in the number of covid 19 cases of the nation. He also encouraged us to be our own guards and protect ourselves. He further on spoke about a few number of covid 19 cases reported from the Kotoka International Airport.
The President also have congratulated the graduates of WASSCE and BECE despite the several criticisms. He has expressed his excitement and has pledged to even be the last person to even put the lives of the students into danger. He further on emphasised on the reopening of schools for the form 2 JHS and SHS students as well as continuing students of Colleges of Education.
He also talks about sports to begin soon . All sports including the Ghana Premier league and football is to begin on October 30th. Football training is to begin soon. All contact sports are allowed now especially Football.
Good news for us all because football is to begin soon. The stadium however is restricted in capacity. Only 25 percent of the capacity is to be used and all due protocols are to be taken. He says masks should be worn and players will be tested.
