Five people have been stabbed after mayhem erupted at a funeral in Apam in the Gomoa West District of the Central region.

According to eyes withness, the chaos erupted after some allege land guards believed to be coming from Ashaiman in Accra stormed the funeral sparking tension between them and the youth of the Apam town.

A gun battle ensued after the police were called in to restore order.  Vehicles and other properties were destroyed in the melee.

The victims are currently receiving treatment at the Apam government hospital. Men of the community have reportedly gone into hiding fearing either arrest by the police and attack by the land guards.

Speaking to 2018 best fisherman Mr Appiah Bonsu he also a victim to the chaos and his finger was cut by Cutlass he explained further .One Abusuapayin who was beaten by Ashaiman boys and dam him somewhere he also voice out to the media.

Some of the resident who was also explain that whenever they see you coming from the town and they start beating you so they force to make arrest some to the police station they also explained how it goes or fear they have put in the Apam community.
