The beneficiaries of Youth in Afforestation program ( YAB ) numbering 60,000 in the population are expressing our disappointment in the incumbent Government led by His Excellency Nana Akufo Addo. The CEO of the forestry commission, Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie( Sir John ), the ministry of Finance, Ken Ofori Ata and other authorities for not paying us for more than six( 6 )months.
According to Mr. Miran executive member of Youth in Afforestation, he stated that in June, the Chief Executive Officer of the Forestry Commission Sir John assured them that, their salaries owed recruits would be paid by the close of June 2019, but the CEO has not been able to keep to his promises.
They have talked about their allowances for so many times, doing press conferences and the most painful thing, to them, is when they plan to embark on demonstration, the police frustrates their efforts.
