COVID-19 Vaccine: Osei Tutu ii Takes jab at Menhyia Palace
Asantehene,Otumfour Osei Tutu II is scheduled to take the first covid 19 vaccine dose today at the Manhyia Palace in the Ashanti Region.
It will then follow by the Executive’s thus the Regional Minister and staff’s at the Regional coordinating council.
Addressing the media this morning, Ashanti Regional director of health service,Dr Emmanuel Tenkorang said,the region received 150,000 doses.
He said,they are expecting to give out 140,000 doses within greater Kumasi and Obuasi for the first phase.
The directorate, according Dr Emmanuel Tenkorang, will be working with 120 teams who has been positioned at various health centers to give vaccine to eligible persons.
He said,the exercise will take two weeks for the first phase and will be continue when the additional vaccine arrive.
Dr Tenkorang has therefore called on residents not to rash in taking the vaccine because they have enough store for the exercise.
