Flooding Takes Over Accra Highways
Drainage system in the capital city Accra has been very poor since Ghana gain it independent from the British. When it get to the raining season most households, individuals and workplaces find themselves in a very higher risk of getting flooded.
In the months of June, July and August happens to be the dangerous months of highest raining period that causes flooding in almost fifty percent (50%) of Accra land.
Today Wednesday 28th August 2020, Accra has again seen a very tragic flooding in the areas of Mallam, Waija, Afankor, Kaneshie, Circle, Tantra hill, Dome Kwabenya, Lapaz and many more.
The raining started around 2:30 pm and end before 5:00pm but within this short period of raining has caused serious flooding along the major highways and some branch roads in the city of Accra making both commercial and private vehicles slowing down on roads.
Its very sad and funny to see this flooding areas in this election period where politicians are promising heaven to gain majority votes.
