KANESHIE STATION DRIVERS COMPLAINS OVER HIGH RATE OF FUEL PRICE
The drivers at the Kaneshie lorry station complains over the high rate of fuel which affects them a lot.
In an interview with some drivers at the lorry station, they complained bitterly of passengers fighting with them because of the increase of transportation fare. Also, they told D Fm news reporter that, the market women complain of transportation fare when they are going for their goods as well.
Mr. Alanta who is a driver at the kaneshi station said when the passengers complain they tell them it’s not their fault but rather the increase of fuel but they still insult them which sometimes becomes a fight between the conductor and some passengers which end up at the police station.
Mr. Yusif who is also a driver spoke about poor roads in the country. He said the reason why they increase the transportation is not due to only increase in fuel but also because of bad roads. He said their vehicles get spoilt and it’s sometimes difficult for them to repair it because they don’t gain any profit from the job they do which is very sad.
We are on our knees pleading with the government to reduce the price of fuel and also provide us with good roads; they said.
