Kuami Eugene Is The 2020 VGMA ‘Artiste Of The Year’
Eugene Kwame Marfo who goes by the stage name Kuami Eugene has emerged winner of the much-coveted 2020 VGMA ‘Artiste Of The Year’ award.
He won this award by facing stiff competition from the likes of Sarkodie, Medikal, Kofi Kinaata, and Diana Hamilton.
Prior to the announcement of Kuami Eugene as the winner, many have tipped Kofi Kinaaat to win it based on the work he is done for the year under review and the kind of time-lasting songs he has produced.
Those who tipped Sarkodie to win believed he has done a lot as far his Alpha EP and Black Love album are concerned and his relevance over the years which makes him a credible contender.
However, after all, was said and done, the 23-year-old Kuami Eugene has emerged as the winner of 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards and also won the Highlife Artiste Of The Year award in addition.
This is clearly a boost to his music career and will surely catapult him into a legendary position where much attention will be drawn to him and the kind of music he does.
Currently, he has a song titled ‘Open Gate’ which is already making waves across the entire country, therefore, this award will go a long way to solidify his name as one of the best contemporary musicians on the African continent and one of the best young musical talents in the world.
