No more music- Nana Kontihene.

One of the best Hiplife artistes who sustained the genre during its experimental stage, Emmanuel Appiah Boating aka. Kontihene has sadly told Abeiku Santana that he has quit music for good.

He told the ace broadcaster on his Atuu programme which is aired on United Television (UTV) that he feels the time has come for him to bow out and thread on a different path altogether as God will dictate to him.

According to the ‘Aketesia’ hitmarker, his last track was ‘trick’ which came after he teamed up with ponobiom on ‘Dedeede’, since then it’s been two years since he hit the studio.

” I am believing in God to change my story and the sequence. I don’t want to do the same thing till I dies, so am putting my trust in God to help me”, he said.

Perhaps the competitiveness of the music scene which has been dominated heavily by Team-based artistes led by Sarkodie and Dancehall artistes like Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy might have influenced his decision to quit music.
