Running mate of Mr. John Dramni Mahama, Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang made a historic visit to the Western North Region of Ghana.
The newly created region were indeed privileged to welcome a distinguished personality like Mrs. Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang. The visit which was aimed at sensitizing the people of western North to rally behind the National Democratic Congress, NDC, proved to be a succesful one, as she was accompanied by a huge mob of people, who cried their hearts out for Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang to deliver them from the life of slavitude, that Nana Addo is paying them back with.
As eloquent as ever, Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang tactfully distanced herself from the constant Name calling. Which has been a typical feature of the ruling New Patriotic Party’s campaign.
She pointed out the flawed policies, that has ridiculed the faith that the good people of Ghana bestowed on Nana Addo. Adding that he has paid them back with debt and poverty. It is worth noting that former president John Dramani Mahama has been a vehement critique of this Nana Addo Government. Pointing out clear misuse of taxpayers money and loan debt of over 120bn cedis. Which is being enjoyed only by this family and friends goverment. Other politicians have pointed out the ludacris nature of recruitement especially in the security agencies. An issue that has totally ridiculed the constitution’s mandate that the recruitment of person’s for such should be open and fair and further more based on merit. A lot of Ghanaians have raised eye brows as to how there will be no forms, yet people will be called for training. A classic feature that has persisted during this 3 years, President Akuffo Addo has been in power.
After her speech, Mrs. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang made a symbol that will be perhaps missed by onlookers. Yet the camera was sharp in capturing it. Mrs. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang held her hands together.
She was captured with praying hands. Praying hands are a Christian symbol often selected for tattoos as a remembrance to the power of Christ and prayer. The art itself has a deeper meaning. It represents dedication to self and family, courage and sacrifice and respect.
From this alone, Professor Naana Agyeman is displaying the National Democratic Congress acknowledgement of the role of Christ and prayer in the development of Ghana. She is further displaying the power of unity as one family and it is a powerful message to be sent to Ghanaians in this trying times.
She ended her message by asking the question, Name what is bothering you and our goverment will listen and solve it for you. A really powerful conclusion.
